When I told a friend in the UK that Puerto de la Cruz‘ Casino was now sited underneath a 15,000 square metre lake in the Lago Martiánez complex, he was both amazed, impressed and baffled, assuming that guests would have to don a wetsuit and air tank over their tuxedos and ball gowns in order to navigate their way to the tables.
His James Bond-level imagination may have got the better of him momentarily but in one sense, he’s absolutely right; this is the coolest setting imaginable for the elegance and excitement of a Roulette wheel.
